On 20 October 2024, NZNKHRIA convened two Auckland lectures with former North Korean diplomat Ryu Hyun-woo.
The lectures created opportunities for different audiences to hear informed testimony and participate in public discussion.
A subsequent media interview with the speaker reported that more than 200 young adults attended the first lecture. This figure is retained only with that attribution.
